Meprozet Stare Kurowo Sp. z o.o. is a company with over fifty years of tradition. The history of our company dates back to the early sixties.
On February 1, 1961 in a building where the former engine house was located, and where the Forestry Centre of Transport functioned during the fifties, manufacture of wire products has been launched.
In subsequent years, the production grew rapidly and expanded.
In 1968 a newly built hall was put into operation and production of light-wall tubes has started.
In June 1970, a new large department was launched - hot galvanizing line.
Under the name of "Meprozet" the facility has been operating since 1972.
Significant events in the history of the company, which had a significant impact on its development, were the following:
- On April 1, 1994, the State Enterprise of Meprozet in Stare Kurowo became independent, which took place after the division of the Mechanization of Animal Production Enterprise "Meprozet" based in Drezdenko.
- On January 6, 1999, the company under the name of "Meprozet Stare Kurowo Sp. z o.o." was set up.
- On November 5, 1999, the company's business activities on the property of the former state enterprise have started.
- On February 12, 2004, the company took over the property of the former state enterprise.
Today the company employs approximately 200 people. It is a significant employer on the local market. The main scope of business are steelworks of halls, fences made of welded mesh, fences for cattle and many more. Our modern machinery park makes it also possible to hot galvanize and high-temperature galvanize with centrifuging. The production is directed both to the domestic market and, for many years, to the foreign markets. Mostly Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands.
THE HISTORY OF THE COMPANY
Meprozet Stare Kurowo Sp. z o.o.
02/01/1961. In the building of former engine house Regional Department of "Gozamet" was created - it was a subsidiary of M-3 plant in Stare Kurowo based in Gorzów Wielkopolski. Products made of wire were manufactured here, mainly baskets, nets, etc.
In 1968 a new hall was put into use and the production of light-walled welded tubes have started (main recipient was the coal mining industry).
In June 1970 a newly biult department was put into operation - hot galvanizing line. Initially there were only own products galvanized - namely light-walled tubes. Later on, also zinc coating services have been provided.
01/11/1970 the M-3 plant detached from "Gozamet" Gorzów Wielkopolski. The company "ZPUMROL" was established - Federation in Zielona Góra, a subsidiary of Stare Kurowo.
In 1972, "ZPUMROL" was liquidated - Mechanization of Animal Production and Agricultural Industry Enterprise "Meprozet" Stare Kurowo was launched. It was subordinate to a federation located in Warsaw.
01/01/1977 following the merger of "Meprozet" Drezdenko and "Meprozet" Stare Kurowo Mechanization of Animal Production Enterprise "Meprozet" Drezdenko was formed. The plant in Stare Kurowo was subordinate to the management in Drezdenko. The federation headquarters was located in Warsaw.
In 1977 a new hall of galvanizing plant was put to use.
After the administrative reform - in the eighties - the federation was liquidated. The Provincial Governor of Gorzów was the founding body.
04/01/1994. after the division of Mechanization of Animal Production Enterprise "Meprozet" in Drezdenko, a State Enterprise "Meprozet" Stare Kurowo was established (founding body - Provincial Governor of Gorzow).
06/01/1999. a limited liability company under the name of "Meprozet Stare Kurowo Sp. z o.o. was tied, with initial capital of PLN 1020600.
11/05/1999, after signing an agreement with Provincial Governor of Lubuskie, the company started its business on the property of the State Enterprise "Meprozet" that was given back for chargeable use. Lease contract was concluded for 10 years.
12.02.2004. The Company, by a notarial act, took over the assets of the enterprise from the State Treasury in perpetuity.
Achievements:
- in 1995 - second place in the ranking of companies from Gorzów Province (organized by "Gazeta Lubuska" and the Provincial Governor Office
- In 1996 - a place in the first ten companies, ranking as above.
- Polish and German welding entitlements to perform steelworks loaded statically and dynamically - since 1999.
- in 2000 - a diploma in the "Safe Employer" contest organized by the National Labour Inspectorate.
- In 1999 and 2000 - second place in the competition: "The Most Active Social Factory Inspector" organized by the National Labour Inspectorate.
- In 2004 - a place in the first twenty companies in the rating of enterprises from Lubuskie Province (organized by the Marshal's Office and Gazeta Lubuska)
Prizes won at fairs:
- a diploma in the "Best Product" contest at agricultural fair, "Lubniewice '99" for halls of light, zinc coated steel frame."
- a diploma in the "Best Product" contest at agricultural fair, "Lubniewice 2000" for "floor grid for breading ducks and geese."
- a diploma in the regional stage of "Agroliga 2001" contest in the category "enterprises"
The company derives approximately 50% of revenues from export. 90% of finished goods are exported.
